Who provides your course material?

We have partnered with Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (PRTS) to offer non-credit courses and micro-credential certificates through their Transform program.

What is the Transform program?

The Transform program is a lecture series developed by PRTS and is intended for individuals seeking to deepen their theological understanding outside of traditional programs.

What micro-credential certificates do you plan to offer?

Learning Centre Ontario will begin by offering courses that can be used toward certificates in Historical Studies, Office-Bearer Studies, and Ministry Engagement.

Are there any prerequisites?

No, programming will be open to all, and there are no mandatory prerequisites.

Why should I purchase an on-site class instead of an online course?

While on-site classes include the same lecture material as the online courses, they also include facilitated group discussion and fellowship with community members.

If I purchase an on-site course, do I need to attend every class?

No, that is the advantage of the Transform program: although you will miss out on class discussion, you are easily able to catch up on missed lecture material on your own time through the Transform website before the next class.

What are "mentored conversations"?

Our 'mentored conversations' are opportunities for those taking the courses to engage in conversations with pastors and elders with advanced theological education. These conversations can be about course material being studied or other theological topics. Specific time slots for mentorship will be indicated on the Calendar on select Thursdays and Saturdays. These will be on a drop-in basis.
